Depending upon the circumstances, there may be a court order to pay
and or receive spousal support. It is determined in order to maintain the
standard of living for both parties, that was established during the course of the marriage. Job skills, job market, the time and cost to obtain sufficient training in order to develop those skills needed to enter the work force, retraining aspects that may be needed higher levels of current skills needed to maintain a job, and the length of marriage as well as many other factors will contribute to the final decision. Financial obligations, assets and property and child support will also be a part of this decision. Each case is unique and will be always depend upon the willlingness of each party to reach a reasonable decision.
